We believe the right story changes everything
A social impact storytelling enterprise built in Buea to amplify the voices and solutions that deserve to be heard.
Where EFORO comes from
EFORO started from a simple, stubborn observation: communities across Cameroon are solving real problems every single day, and almost nobody is documenting it. Clean water systems built by village cooperatives. Climate adaptation strategies passed down through farming communities. Youth-led businesses that are quietly lifting families out of precarity.
The international media cycle moves fast and looks elsewhere. Local voices get drowned out by the noise. And without documentation, those solutions don’t scale — they die with the people who discovered them.
We exist to change that. Through documentary production, hands-on journalist training, and direct community outreach, EFORO gives those solutions a story — and those stories, an audience that can act on them.
The name EFORO draws on the tradition of the communal meeting place — where decisions are made, stories are told, and the future gets shaped. That’s the spirit behind everything we do.
Why we exist and where we’re going
01 / Vision
To become the reference point for storytelling that transforms social and environmental challenges into sustainable solutions — starting in Cameroon, reaching beyond.
02 / Mission
We use storytelling to create measurable impact by inspiring action. Not awareness for its own sake. Not content for the feed. Stories that move people to do something.
Our values
Communities let us in because they trust us to tell the truth about their lives.
We don’t dress stories up. The rawness is the point. The mess is the message.
To our subjects, our partners, and the communities we work with. We follow through.
The most powerful stories are the simplest. We cut until only what matters remains.
A story that doesn’t change something hasn’t finished its job.
